Last week keepers noticed a new addition to the Golden-Headed Lion Tamarin family. It seems our breeding pair Cleo and Palo were successful again. They have one new baby, and so far everyone seems to be doing well. The baby is holding onto Cleo very well, and the keepers have seen it nursing.
At this point the baby blends in very well with the mother?s fur, so it is difficult to see. The older siblings, born last May, have been seen by the keepers taking a keen interest in the new family member. The Zoo would like to invite you to see the new baby, but ask that everyone please be respectful and quiet.
