Global warming is real and a threat to the world's animal population. The year 2004 was the fourth hottest on record, extending a trend since 1990. If we continue to emit greenhouse gases at our current pace, our earth's temperature is projected to skyrocket by as much as 10º F in the next 100 years.

Tips for a Great Visit

The Rules of the Wild
Smoking is not permitted inside the Zoo.
Pets are not allowed inside the Zoo (service animal owners must check in with Zoo administration office.)
Shirt and shoes are required at all times.
Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades and rolling shoes (heelies) are not allowed in the Zoo.
We do not issue refunds or rain checks.

Weather
Brevard Zoo is open rain or shine and most of the Zoo experience is outdoors. The Zoo does not issue refunds or rain checks.

Handicap
Brevard Zoo is handicapped accessible with wheelchair & stroller rentals.

Length of Stay
We consider the Zoo to be a half-day experience. Plan for a minimum of one hour to see all of the exhibits, and then based on activities and animal demonstrations, you may find you stay for up to four hours.

Eating
The Flamingo Café offers a large selection of food, snacks, and drinks. Please note that the Zoo does not permit alcohol to be brought onsite.
