Things to Do

Brevard Zoo offers lots of activities like kayaking, riding the train and feeding the animals. In addition, daily the Zoo offers animal demonstrations that rotate depending on the day including alligator, otter and vulture feedings. Art of Sand exhibit - At Brevard Zoo through Memorial Day (May 27)

This exhibit has a separate admission price (in addition to Zoo admission) of $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for children ages 2 to 12. Children under 2 are free. Tickets to this exhibit must be purchased at the Zoo.

Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand exhibit. Guests to Brevard Zoo can take their walk on the wild side to new depths of art and history as they traverse a ¼-mile trail taking in 13 incredible sand sculptures carved into the native landscape of Brevard Zoo. Created by eight international sand sculptors, this exhibit shares the Florida story – tracing the history of people and wildlife on our peninsula. Hear the sounds of a time gone by as you view these breathtaking artistic and historical sculptures - just in time to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s first exploration of North America.

Treetop Trek Aerial Adventures

Treetop Trek Aerial Adventures is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last admission is 3:30 p.m. for Treetop Challenge Course and 4 p.m. for Chutes and Ladders and Canopy Walk Courses. CLICK HERE to learn more.

Zip and Zoo Value Ticket

The Zip and Zoo Value two-day ticket includes admission to Brevard Zoo and Treetop Trek Aerial Adventures. The two day ticket ranges in price from $34 to $54 for adults and $22 to $50 for children – depending on the Treetop Trek course. This ticket is good for one visit to each attraction.

Feed the Giraffes / Lorikeets

Feed the giraffes at the giraffe platform in Expedition Africa. Treats are $2.
Feed nectar to the lorikeets (parrots) in the Aviary in Australasia. Nectar cups are $1.
Feed seed sticks to the cockatiels in the Aviary in Australasia. Seed sticks are $1.

Train

Cape to Cairo Express train ride

Ride the rails past the Australian aviary and around Lemur Island - cost $3 for ages 2 and up. A portion of each ride benefits the Zoo's conservation programs. The train ride is approximately 10 minutes.


Kayaking

Brevard Zoo offers guided kayaking tours. Choose a guided kayaking tour through Expedition Africa. Cost is $6 per person. No children under the age of 5 can kayak. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult in the kayak with them. All participants must sign a waiver in order to kayak. For children under the age of 16, a signed waiver is only accepted from a parent, grandparent or legal guardian.


Paddle Boats

Brevard Zoo now offers self-guided paddle boat rides through our restored wetlands in Wild Florida at the Wetland Outpost daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tours are on the half-hour and cost is $15 a boat for non-members (up to four people). Cost for Zoo-members is $12. All participants must sign a waiver in order to paddle boat. For children under the age of 16, only a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian can sign a waiver. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the paddle boat with them.


Animal Feedings

Alligator and Crocodile Feeding:

Alligator and Crocodile feedings from the bridge are at 3 p.m. every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

River Otter Feeding:

River Otter feedings are at 2 p.m. every Tuesday and Saturday.

La Selva Zookeeper Talks

Vulture Talks are at 11:30 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Giant Anteater Talks are at 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Saturday.
Jaguar Talks are at 11:30 a.m. every Thursday and Sunday. 


Rhino Encounters

Meet one of the Zoo's rhinos up close and personal. These encounters are offered daily (contingent on weather and rhinos) from noon to 1 p.m. at a cost of $15 per person ($10 per person for Zoo members). Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets have to be purchased prior from Kayak Beach. Each tour lasts about 20 minutes.


Wild Encounter Tours, Destination Africa

This unparalleled adventure takes visitors off the boardwalk on an awe-inspiring educational hour getting up close and personal with some of the Zoo’s most charismatic animal residents, such as Johari, a masai giraffe, or Howard, one of our white rhinos. Guests learn the intricacies involved in keeping these beautiful creatures conditioned, healthy and mentally enriched. Guests also will see first-hand how the Zoo’s skilled keepers utilize their training to interact with the animals. Reservations required and payment is due at time of reservation.

Tours offered on Saturdays and Sundays at noon.
Cost: $65 for Zoo members and $75 for non-members, Ages 5 and up
           50% off admission for seniors (age 65 and older )
           50% off admission for children ages 3 to 4
           Children 2 and under are FREE

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by paid adult participant. No strollers permitted on tour.

Zoo Packages

For a reduced rate on admission into the Zoo you can purchase an activity package at the main entrance when you arrive.

Young Explorer’s Package

Includes Zoo admission, tickets to ride the train and tickets to feed the giraffe and lorikeets. Cost is $19.50 for adults, $18.50 for seniors, and $15.50 for children ages 2 to 12. Brevard Zoo members can purchase this package for just $6 per member (member package does not include admission).

Wild Explorer’s Package

Includes Zoo admission, kayaking in Expedition Africa and giraffe and lorikeet feedings. Children under 5 are not permitted to kayak and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must sign a waiver in order to kayak. For children under the age of 18, a signed waiver is only accepted from a parent, grandparent or legal guardian. Cost is $21.75 for adults, $20.75 for seniors and $17.75 for children ages 2 to 12.
