Global warming is real and a threat to the world's animal population. The year 2004 was the fourth hottest on record, extending a trend since 1990. If we continue to emit greenhouse gases at our current pace, our earth's temperature is projected to skyrocket by as much as 10º F in the next 100 years.

1st Grade
Won’t You Be My Neighbor?—June 9-13, 23-27, July 7-11, 21-25
Uncover why some animals live close to each other, with each other, or on each other! Meet and greet many of our Zoo animals! Enjoy games, crafts, and stories.

Lands of Far, Far Away—June 16-20, 30-July 4, July 14-18, 28-Aug 1
Geez, that animal looks weird! Why does it have a blue tongue? Find out the answers to these questions and more as you discover animals from around the world. Make crafts, listen to stories, play games, and touch far away animals.

2nd Grade
Window to Your Backyard—June 9-13, 23-27, July 7-11, 21-25
Think about the animals you see out in your backyard. What friendly or strange animals might be living there? What types of habitats might there? Discover what makes Florida’s habitats perfect for the many outlandish animals that live here.

Wild, Wild Place—June 16-20, 30-July 4, July 14-18, 28-Aug 1
Travel around the world to meet wild, exotic animals and explore their habitats! As a wildlife detective and discover many animal, their habitats, and how they survive.

3rd Grade
Hometown Habitat—June 9-13, 23-27, July 7-11, 21-25
Why can some animals only live in certain parts of the world? Did you know Florida has many different habitats? Discover the importance of these animal habitats without leaving your hometown in this super fun camp.

Planet Parade—June 16-20, 30-July 4, July 14-18, 28-Aug 1
Get ready for the Planet Parade! Make crafts, play games, and meet animals from around the world. Share your love for your favorite animal with the whole zoo as we lead a Zoo camp parade complete with flags and face paint!

4th Grade
Nature Nuts—June 9-13, 23-27, July 7-11, 21-25
We’re Crazy about Critters! We’re Wacko about Wildlife! We’re Bonkers about Biodiversity! We’re NATURE NUTS! We just can’t get enough of those fantastic, crazy creatures.

Globe Trotters—June 16-20, 30-July 4, July 14-18, 28-Aug 1
Welcome all Global Explorers! Trek to unexplored lands and discover mysterious animals that are out of this world! Our voyage includes cultural crafts, fantastic games, and critters galore as we test your global know-how.

5th & 6th Grade
ZSI (Zoo Scene Investigators)—June 16-20, 30-July 4, July 14-18, 28-Aug 1
Why has the giraffe gained weight? What did the kookaburra have for dinner? Become a zoo investigator and discover how animal experts answer important questions like these. We’ll meet creatures, talk to keepers, take measurements, examine bones, and solve a Zoo mystery each day.

3rd & 4th Grade
The Great Outdoors—June 9-13, 23-27, July 7-11, 21-25
For the outdoor explorer in all of us! Take adventurous treks experiencing hands-on animal interactions, and hunting for animal tracks behind the scenes. Get wet during outdoor games, create items every explorer needs, and kayakour Wild Florida Wetlands.

Our Turf, The Earth—June 16-20, 30-July 4, July 14-18, 28-Aug 1
Hey that’s my spot. No! It’s mine! Everyone needs to know how to share! Learn how animals and people live together in the circle of life. Journey through Africa interacting with some of the endangered and threatened species at the Zoo. During this hands-on camp you will explore ways to protect wildlife around the world.

Full Day 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

5th & 6th Grade
Jr. Zoo Keepers—June 9-13, 23-27, July 7-11, 21-25
Become a zookeeper in training and discover what it takes to do the wildest job on earth! Spend a full day exploring exhibits, talking to zookeepers, and learning about animal behavior. Lunch included.

7th, 8th, & 9th Grade
Earth Explorers—June 16-20, 23-27, July 7-11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-Aug 1
Learn more about the fascinating and unique natural wonders that are part of Central Florida. Spend a week exploring wetlands, beaches, sub-tropical forests and the Indian River Lagoon. This intense experience is limited to 10 explorers and includes special offsite field trips.
