If we continue to emit greenhouse gases at our current pace, our earth's temperature is projected to skyrocket by as much as 10º F in the next 100 years.

Toddler Programs

Brevard Zoo’s toddler programs provide enriching opportunities for children ages 2 to 6 to experience nature in a safe, healthy and happy environment. Our goal is to nurture the physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth of each child within a respectful, creative and caring atmosphere. Class size is limited to 10 to 15 children per class. Jr. Detective Training
Parents and caregivers can explore our newest children’s play area, the Wildlife Detective Training Academy, on Fridays before visiting the rest of the Zoo. During this interactive story time, children ages 2 to 6 will be introduced to animal books and many of our resident animal detectives. This is an adult and child program. The program will meet the first four Fridays of the month.

Time: 9:30 to 10 a.m.
Cost: $25/month for members, $30/month for non-members; does not include Zoo admission; $5 discount for additional siblings.

Animal Crackers
Enjoy some really fun “together-time” with your toddler (ages 2 to 3) and remember what it’s like to be a kid again. Experience nature together through crafts, play centers, songs, animal encounters and guided Zoo time during this all-hands-on class. This is an adult and child program. Dress for mess!

Time: 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Nature Nibblers
Parents, let your tot experience the Zoo during this exciting new nature-based playschool! During this four-week session (pre-kindergarten children ages 3 to 5), we will explore how wildlife grows up through the use of interactive songs, themed centers, storybooks, crafts, animal encounters, outdoor experiences and guided Zoo excursions. Ready, set, let’s grow! This is a drop off playschool program, adults do not attend. Children must be fully potty-trained.

Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cost: $250 for members, $275 for non-members ($10 discount for additional siblings)
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays: August 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, and 28
