Teacher Workshops
Brevard Zoo's education department offers a series of workshops open to area teachers, scout leaders and informal educators. These workshops are offered in conjunction and partnership with the Coastal Marine Institute, Marine Youth Services, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Brevard County Solid Waste Management Department and the Indian River chapter of the National Audubon Society. The goal of these workshops is to give educators training, local resources and new teaching tools for use in the classroom.

How to Register
To register for a program please call the Education Registrar at 321.254.9453 x 219. Groups must register at least two weeks in advance for all visits, programs and activities. Fall and spring programs fill quickly, so please register early! Programs require a minimum of 15 people. Programs can accommodate up to 35 people.
Confirmation
A letter of confirmation with all the details of the booked program will be mailed after registration. You must retain a copy of the letter for your records and present it upon arrival at the Zoo to facilitate the group's admission. If there will be more than one class visiting the Zoo please be sure to distribute confirmation information to all teachers.
Late Arrivals
Due to the popularity of our programs, we may not be able to accommodate your group upon late arrival. Please make every effort to call the Zoo at 321.254.9453 x 219 or x 210 if your group will be late. We do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but reserve the right to cancel or adjust program length depending on staff availability.

Flying WILD
Flying WILD, a program of the Council for Environmental Education, introduces students to bird conservation through standards-based classroom activities and environmental stewardship projects. Brevard Zoo is a City Partner for Flying WILD, and therefore, we incorporate these standards into our Zoo School, Zoo Explorer, and other educational program offerings.
