Junk Mail

Did you know that each year millions of trees and billions of gallons of water are used to create junk mail, most of which never gets recycled? There are several things you can do to reduce how much junk mail you receive.

"After using junk mail—and any other paper you don't need to keep—as scrap paper, recycle it."

Night Hikes

We offer Night Hikes for all occasions on Friday and Saturday nights. The safari includes crafts, games, pizza for dinner, and a hands-on animal encounter in one of our themed rooms. Call 321.254.9453 x 219 or email edregistrar@brevardzoo.org for more information.

Private Group Night Hike
Do you have to plan an event for your scout group, school group, or a birthday party? Your guests will enjoy our Private Night Hikes.
Let your guest experience one of the wildest places, and treat them to an evening safari through the Zoo and lots of fun-filled activities.

Time: 6 to 9 p.m.
Cost: $24 for members, $25 non-members
Group Size: A minimum of 10 paying participants required
Booking: Minimum of 2 weeks in advance
Ages: 5 to 12 (one free adult chaperone per every 6 children)
Includes: 2 slices of cheese pizza per person, drinks, paper goods and room décor, hands-on animal presentation, guided flashlight zoo safari tour, nocturnal games, party host, and lots of fun!

Public Night Hikes
Time: 5 to 9 p.m.
Cost: $24 for members, $25 non-members
Booking: Minimum of 2 weeks in advance required. If a minimum of 10 participants do not sign up for a Public Night Hike, the Hike will be cancelled, and you will receive advanced notice of the cancelled date.
Ages: child, 5 to 12 years, unless otherwise noted
Includes: 2 slices of cheese pizza per person, drinks, paper goods and room décor, a hands-on animal presentation, guided flashlight zoo safari tour, nocturnal games, party host ,and lots of fun!

Public Night Hike 2009 Regular Calendar
May 23--Investigators: Trek through the Zoo and solve the evening's mystery.
November 14--World Wide Food Web: Discover the different predator and prey relationships there are through games, crafts, and encounters!

Summertime Spectacular Night Hike Series
Looking to enjoy an evening without the kids? Sign your kids up for a night hike at the Zoo, and you can enjoy our Summer Saturday Nights event in July and August, go to a movie, go out to dinner, or whatever your heart desires!

Time: 5 to 9 p.m.
Ages: 4 to 12 years
Cost: For Zoo members just $19 per night or 3 for $45
For Non-members $22 per night or 3 for $57

June 6, July 11, and August 8--Animal Adaptations: Is it all about survival of the fittest or just a quirk of nature? Decide for yourself as you meet these amazing creatures.
June 13, July 18, and August 15--Radical Reptiles: Meet many of our scaly friends as you wiggle your way through the Zoo.
June 20, July 25, and August 22--Animal Athletes: Become an animal athlete by competing against different animal records in jumping, running, hopping, standing, and more!
August 1 and August 29--Nocturnal Creatures: Discover what wakes in the night as you hike through the Zoo.

Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Night Hikes
Need time to get ready for the holidays? Sign your kids up for a night hike at the Zoo, while you shop, wrap presents, or just relax! We've created three great nights in December where children can shop for everyone on their holiday lists in the Zoo's gift shop, go on a night hike safari in the Zoo, make a craft, and have pizza for dinner.

Time: 5 to 9 p.m.
Ages: 4 to 12 years
Cost: For Zoo members it is $20 and for non-members it is $22
