Brevard Zoo's conservation team paised volunteer Laurie Der for all her hard work on the Zoo's Quarters for Conservation program. Three emu chicks were born to our petting zone emu, Priscilla. The chicks are a week old and are currently under the care of the petting zone staff. Their names are Tupelo, Suede, and Hunter. So far all 3 are doing very well, and each will be hand raised as each of their parents were. The petting zone staff are very excited to have another opportunity to bring a unique experience to the petting zone!
